We
are now very proud to be able to boast that our area is not only one of
the most beautiful spots on earth, but it can deliver one of the widest
ranges of trophy fish anywhere.
Through the hard work of our local hatcheries, Walleye is
abundant and I might add a tasty staple.
We have the Magnetewan River at our doorstep and by no
accident Muskie rules this river. If a light line and a massive fight is
what you want, this is the place for you.
Bass and Panfish can be caught right off the dock, which can
be a wonderful child occupier.
In the north we have, in my opinion, one of the most
voracious appetites with fins. Oddly enough it goes by the name
"Northern" go figure. This fish, left over from prehistoric
times, provides the best entertainment of all. It can be caught almost
year round and can be found in the river as well as Georgian Bay, always
ready to beat you up. Very few guests leave without memories of giant Norehern
Pike, or stories of "the one that got away."
OK, we have to swear you to secrecy now; yes, we do have salmon!
